Call for Presentations

The Board of Directors of the California Pawnbrokers Association encourages you to seriously consider contributing your expertise to this event and we hope you will share this Call for Proposals with others whom you believe have strong presentation skills and a timely topic to share. 

It’s easy to submit a session proposal!

Fill out the Proposal & Speaker information Form and Submit!

• Education sessions will take place on Sunday, April 30th.
• Prepare for 60 minute session with time for questions.
• Anticipate 25 – 45 attendees per session
• Sample Topic Areas include but are not limited to:
• Authentication – Watches, handbags and more
• Dealing with coins or diamonds
• Future trends and resources
• Presenters are expected to register for the conference at the established rates.
• Deadline to submit; January 27, 2023 – Submit to nperry@amgroup.us

Proposals received after this date will be considered on a space-available basis only. Proposals will be reviewed by the program committee and selected upon the criteria of overall quality, originality and appropriateness to this program. All potential presenters will be notified of proposal status by February 20, 2023. Those chosen will receive presenter information/details shortly after they are confirmed. 

The 2023 Spring Conference will follow the same, live streamlined format instituted in programs past to maximize educational opportunities, vendor connections and networking time. The conference begins with a Welcome Reception on Saturday, April 29th. Educational sessions and Exhibit hours will run on Sunday, April 30th. Consider bringing the family along and plan time to enjoy the many wonderful activities available in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains! Presenters are invited to book hotel rooms at the special conference rate. Hotel information will be posted on the website.
